About Me

Keith Krueger

I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison where I received a BS in Chemical Engineering. I got my start in aerospace with Boeing in 1997. In 2000, I joined their Materials Technology group as a Flammability analyst where I reviewed Boeing and vendor designs for compliance. In 2005 I received my FAA Consultant DER authorization and began to consult for STC applicants. My last years at Boeing were spent on the 787 program working on interiors and composite fuselage flammability.

I left Boeing in 2006 and spent a year managing flammability efforts for C&D Zodiac at their Marysville, WA site. I left C&D in 2007 and Krueger Consulting, LLC was established.

Quote overheard at a Fire Test Working Group meeting: “You can run bunsen burner tests in a barn, if that barn is draft free.” - James Peterson

Holes for Poles

Flying the Poles in

Poles and “hay loft” floor are in

Roof pitches and silo are on

Dried in and ready for concrete

Finally some doors!

Lots of drywall up high

Crates are in!

Unpacked, but far from functional

Hoods are hung

Outside looking in

Vent work is complete

Exhaust fan and stack

Finished! It will never be this clean again.

Office with a view

Building and operating my own flam test lab was a dream since receiving my DER authorization. In the fall of 2008 construction began on the facility. Then in the summer of 2009 the equipment was moved in and the set-up began. FAA review & acceptance was requested in mid-2010 which resulted in both bunsen burner chambers & the conditioning chamber being accepted first. One by one I got the Flame Propagation, Smoke Density, and Heat Release chambers accepted with the final FAA acceptance letter arriving in early 2011.

Since opening, it has been my goal to provide unparalleled customer service for all of your flammability engineering and testing needs!
